Featuring Nasyr Abdul Al-Khabyyr, Dennis Chambers, Kenwood Dennard, Horacio “El-Negro” Hernandez, Giovanni Hidalgo, Mike Mangini and Raul Rekow, the film engages us with music styles and influences that are as dynamic as the performers themselves. The creative and spiritual freedom of expression they display is astounding – from Latin rhythms to the wildly original compositions of Kenwood Dennard.

At the centre of the film are the warm-hearted Nasyr and his musician friends, who share their knowledge with 40 students for this unforgettable week of music and camaraderie. The philosophy of these musicians is underscored by love, compassion and joy.
